We all have hit rock bottom once or twice in our lives and think we need to do something about it. I have tried time and again to decide to change my life. One of my concerns is my weight and my health. It is ironic because I am a nutrition science student.
Anyways, I need to change my life and first I need to start with my health. This is my turning point
For awhile, my body has been sensitive to anything especially dust. Now, I have red patches all over my body that I have no idea where it came from. I have to see a doctor one of these days but I rather not take any type medication or apply any ointment if they prescribed it to me.
I remember watching a movie called “Fat, sick and nearly dead” about a Australian businessman travelling across united states uncovering the popularity of the American Diet. The documentary revolved around him in the beginning while he went on a raw juice diet for 60 days. The other half of the movie turn into the a life changing story of several people especially with a truck driver with a autoimmune disease. Joe Cross, the main character, befriended this truck driver who had the same type of disease. He encouraged and challenged him to go on a juice fast for several weeks. Both of them lost weight, got off the pills and started their path of healing.
After watching the documentary, it got me thinking about my own health. It is going to be a tough journey but I need to do it. Here is how much I weigh now.
I need to lose 80 lbs to reach my ideal weight again. At the same time bring my body back to its optimal healthy condition. I found the same juice drank in the movie through the reboot with joe website. He created a program after the movie and followed it up with another movie.
He calls it “The Mean Green Juice“. Here is the recipe for anyone who wants to try it with me or gets the chance to read this post.

- 8 celery stalks4 apples
- 16 leaves kale with stalks

Servings: Makes 2 servings of 16-20 oz (500-600 ml)

Here is my journey to help myself and maybe someone who might be inspired by this blog. Its time to reboot!
